I've been Tagged!

This is the 6th picture and it was taken in Syracuse, NY this past December. Nick was taking me on a tour of Syracuse. I think this was just a random picture because I liked the snow on the trees.
I tag April M., Amber B., Linda J., Lara M., and Sarah R. Take your sixth pix from your sixth folder and post on your blog. Tell us all about the pix. Then tag six more people. Leave a message on their blog or email them to let them know they were tagged.

Baby, here we come!

Nick and I have been trying to have a child of our own for about 4 months now and we just found out that we are expecting! Due date is October 9, which puts me at about 4 weeks pregnant. We will know more when I have my first doctors appointment! Here are some pictures...yes I do have some left-over "chub" from Aiden :-)

Spicy Chili and Biscuits

So I have noticed that I have been posting a lot about food items I make. Maybe it's because I love FOOD :) Tonight I made chili (really spicy on accident) with cheese biscuits. Aiden loved the chili! I was surprised because my mouth was on fire every time I took a bite!!! It doesn't look as good as it tasted in the picture, but here it is!

Sugar Cookies

First off, I must apologize for my picture taking skills. My camera was ran over by a beach cruiser this past summer and luckily it stills works, but I am unable to see what I am taking.
Aiden helped me make sugar cookies tonight and while they were cooking, proceeded to take all of his letter/number magnets off the fridge and toss them all over the floor.

Peanut Brittle

I found this recipe for microwavable peanut brittle. It's awesome!!!
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 cups dry roasted peanuts
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
* Butter baking sheet.
* Combine corn syrup and sugar in mixing bowl. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir and place back in the microwave for an additional 2 minutes on high.
* Stir in peanuts and microwave on high for 4 minutes or until mixture becomes a golden brown.
* Add vanilla and butter, stirring until butter is completely melted. Microwave for 1 minute.
* Remove from microwave and stir in baking soda.
* Quickly spread out evenly on greased baking sheet.
* Let cool completely and then break into small pieces to serve.

Just like Daddy!

I was cooking dinner and it hit me how quite it was in my house, so I looked around the corner and this is what I saw!
